Coffee And Friends

Cafe Amicus
I'm not a regular coffee drinker because I am sensitive to caffeine but that doesn't mean I don't like going to coffee shops. Who wouldn't like to lounge in a coffee shop with cozy ambiance, reading your favorite book on a rainy day with a hot cup of coffee or tea with your besties? Sounds nice? Yeah.

I was at Cafe Amicus last week for their grand opening. It's a new coffee shop just across the University of San Carlos - Talamban Campus. The moment you enter the coffee shop, you will be welcomed by the warm atmosphere and a tree with pretty lamps hanging on it (first that I've seen among the coffee shops that I've been to).

Cafe Amicus
"Where coffee and friends make the perfect blend."
The owners, Lenny and Lewana have been friends for more than two decades and decided to open a coffee shop where friends like them can take a breather and spend a good time together after a long tiring day at work or school. The coffee choices on their menu were the owner's personal selections, they even took the time to be trained to create the perfect blend that will satisfy the coffee lovers.

I ordered Roasty Toasty for Php120. You'd really smell the freshly roasted coffee beans.
Local Cofee beans were used to create their hot and iced coffee from Espresso Single (Php45) to Iced Mocha (Php110). And of course, blended coffee will always be present such as Frozen Mocha (Php120), Caramel Macaron (Php125) and the one that I ordered, the Roasty Toasty to name a few. For non coffee drinkers, they also have their Blended Non-Coffee on their menus such as Nutty Choco (Php130) which is the best seller, Matcha Green Tea (Php130) and many more.

There's a whole lot of reasons to enjoy a cup of tea
Cakes like Tiramisu and Mango Butter Cake are also available to match your coffee. More items will be added on their menu really soon such as Breakfast and All-Day-Meals (Crispy Bacon and Lechon fry *DROOL*), Sandwiches and Pasta.

Every coffee shop has its own characteristics in terms of design, there is really something with the shop's atmosphere that makes me feel at home and relaxed. Yay! Looks like I'll be around here often, they're just few minutes walk away from place. And I'd love to have that lamp in my room haha It's really pretty!

Cafe Amicus is open from 8am to 10pm, Mondays to Sundays. Located right next to M Lhuiller Pawnshop across the University of San Carlos - Talamban Campus. Checkout their facebook page here  for more details.

Congratulations on the grand opening Cafe Amicus!

xoxo,
